Update: March 17, 2008. Obviously things have changed since I wrote this post. I am now trying to update this blog several times a week, sometimes with material that I have written for other sites. And, of course, this blog is no longer a photo blog and comments are allowed.
Due to the pressures of time, and other things which I cannot divulge at this time, I felt it was time to delete my old blog and start another one. This is a decision that has been a long time in the making.
The new Upstream will be a photo blog only, and comments will not be allowed simply because I do not have time to monitor and post them. Some of the photos will have appeared on my earlier blog.
At sometime in the future I may turn Upstream into a full fledged web zine, with articles written by several people including myself, with ads, photos, etc. Should that time come, I will annouce it on this blog.
Meanwhile, I need to concentrate on my family, my business and on writing that pays. In the past few days of not blogging, I have managed to submit two articles to publications that pay.
I have also started a book blog, Bruised Reads, which I will post to whenever I have time. Again, comments will not be allowed because of the time involved in moderating, reading, posting and answering them.
While I have two blogs now, they will not take up as much time as my previous one did. Since I will be dealing with less controversial material, they will not be as aggravating either.
