David Paterson Is Not Only Black & Blind, He Has A Beard.

I am a regular contributor to the Sunday Gazette, which means I write a column once a month for the opinion page. However, I often submit columns in between my monthly assignments and most of them are published.

I sent one in a week ago about David Paterson’s beard. Yesterday, I opened the Sunday Gazette to the opinion page and saw an illustration showing several New York State governors with beards and mustaches. “Great,” I thought, “My article got in.” Then I began to read it and realized that it wasn’t mine.

The article and illustration were both by Mark Wilson. Wilson often illustrates articles for the Gazette. He has illustated several of mine and always does a good job.

By the way, the photo at the top of the post is Levi P. Morton, but I am sure you didn’t need me to tell you that, since you learned about him in school when you studied former New York State governors and former Vice-Presidents of the United States.
