I have written about former Amsterdamian Stephen Haven’s memoir about growing up in Amsterdam. Now Amsterdam resident, Bob Going, has written a murder mystery, The Evil Has Landed. Another former Amsterdamian is at work on a murder mystery based on a murder that took place in Amsterdam in the 1930s. I will post more details when the book is available.

Thanks for the plug. The book is now available on Amazon.com as well and soon I’ll have copies for the local establishments.
The Evil Has Landed is, in part, based on experiences I had as a young Assistant DA investigating a murder in Fort Plain, though highly fictionalized.
Also coming soon: The Judge Report (THE BOOK), a compilation of essays on a variety of topics from the last several years, including a revised version of my Ground Zero Diary which originally appeared in The Recorder in 2001. That should be available for web purchase in the next week or so.
